Well, I did host a news years eve party, back in the 60s, in my garage in California. Yes, I did ask the neighbors to help decorate the garage - but, I had no idea -

Which brings to mind a pool party we had at our house, one hot night in San Jose.

The next day about noon the neighbor fellows started showing up at our house to retrieve their wives and girlfriends swimming suits that were thrown up on the roof the night before. Again, a California 60s party -

Oh BTW, that room that was built onto our house was paid for by my company and served as my office. They didn't have enough office space at the research center for me, so they built me a room onto my house.

Those were tough times, no kids, a company car, a new MGB in the garage and working from home -

Nah, just a bunch of good old boys and girls having fun.

Jack, a San Jose policeman, was in attendance and shut the neighbors up when they were going to call the cops.

Ted, the VP of Cribari Vineyards, brought the wine and cocaine.

Rod, a manager at IBM, brought the pot.

Phil, who worked at Stamford Research Institute, brought his wife.

I supplied the booze and the venue.

I don't remember where the other people came from -
