Something might be really off with your alignment.

Aligned the car myself with friends on a Hunter. We did the fronts first and were going to have to come back to do the rear the next day. I'd center the wheel on the rack, we'd lock everything down, and then once moving the car around, the wheel would "electronically" move the wheel off center.

Once we got the rear alignment set, it no longer did that.

Yeah, well, I didn't know they were corded. Had an alignment done 2 weeks ago and the tech didn't even mention it.

steverife: it's ok if rear "later" means car left on alignment rig. Suggest doing all alignment at once if you meant otherwise, as there is such thing as eg. "total toe"/"overall thrust angle", and driving off with alignment half-done imho may introduce extra variations with wheel reposition and removing/refitting those mirror things to wheels.

I drove the car home and drove it back when we had the time and parts to finish the alignment. But this post isn't about me. My larger point was that there is certainly some kind of electronic interference with steering wheel alignment if the alignment of the car is deemed off.
