I need a good detailer for polish and paint protection
I talked to Rick at Unique Auto Care 2-3 weeks back and he was very helpful on the phone and was checking to see if they had availability and he told me he would check for a Friday and call me back.
I never heard back from him and have left him a couple emails and voice messages in the meantime. I'm looking for a back up plan in the event I never hear back. I am hoping he is on vacation or is just too busy to get back to me and everyone else wanting his services. Can I get any other recommendations in New England? I want a polish done to remove the swirls then one of the Opti alternatives i.e. Wolfs Hard Body along with clear bra. I will still wait it out for Rick but I'd like to have other options.

I haven't heard back from Rick, either, but it hasn't been nearly as long. Hopefully he's just on vacation or something. Still, it doesn't hurt to have a backup plan.

Rick takes a while to get back sometimes. You just have to nag him. I will say that his work is top notch. I would opt for the opticoat over the Wolfs though. I had him put wolfs on the car now and it's already starting to wear off (and I'm meticulous about paint protection).

He got back to me today. He's been super-busy as expected. If you want the best guy for the job you gotta be patient and persistent.

Rick never got back to me a while back after multiple attempts. Fortunately thanks to Hamza I was able to locate Rich in CT. Rich is mobile and may be able to come to you if you need.

Busy, busy, busy!!
Rick here...
Sorry guys... This year has been extremely busy and is hard to manage sometimes with my crazy schedule. I work full time at Boston University and work another 35+ hours at the shop, so my life is a little crazy to say the least. Many days, I start at 4am and it's not uncommon for me to be at the shop til' after midnight. It would be easy to hire a bunch of guys in order to get more work done, but I see other business owners do this and they seem to lack in the quality control department. Right now, Unique Car Care consists of myself and two other guys who are really good at what they do. I do my best to get back to everyone, but it's hard when I get at least 50 calls/day and least a dozen voicemails/day. Not to mention actually trying to be productive at the shop and dealing with customers stopping by for estimates all day. I make sure that every car that rolls out the door looks it's best, since it is a rolling advertisement of my work. Doing top-notch work takes time and lot's of patience. I wish I could just sit in my office all day, answer every call and tell my employees what to do, but it's impossible. I apologize to those who I haven't gotten back to right away, but like others mentioned, just keep calling and bug the heck out of me until you reach me . I promise it will be worth the wait... 2forme and Sony: Thanks for the positive comments and I will be in touch soon to get both cars in for the Opti-Coat application. Best regards, ~Rick |

Thanks Rick, totally worth waiting for the services you provide. I decided to get my car tinted by Mr Tint and they gouged part of my interior which the owner will be rectifying. I wish I was more patient and waited for you to do the tint also. I hope others can learn from my terrible experience and wait to get the job done right.
Looking forward to meeting you on Friday Sept 7th

I had my car done at Rick's yesterday.
Their work is top notch. Had the polish, Wolf's hard body, Wolf's windshield sealant, XPEL, interior done.
