Fuel pressure setting

I'm installing a surge tank with high-flow pump and it's own fuel pressure regulator in the surge tank (using stock fuel lines and retaining the returnless design).

What pressure should I set the fuel pressure regulator to? I'll be measuring fuel pressure at the surge tank (located in boot/trunk).

I believe nominal stock fuel pressure is 58PSI though the shop manual specifies a wide range of 51-73 PSI...

Hags, Did you ever get your surge tank setup completed? I'm about to do the same thing, and trying to retain the factory system as much as possible. How did you route the fuel flow from the surge tank back into the main fuel tank? That's the only part that has me stumped at the moment - what would the best way be.

I've seen a few threads with a fitting drilled through the top of the pump basket lid, but I'm not sure how well that would seal. Maybe with the correct crush washers it might? THoughts?
