Dude that's awesome that you can do it virtually. In Pennsylvania, my wife had to go every day, all day, in person, for a week, and wasn't even considered for a jury. Just sat in a room with a bunch of other bored people.

God damn! That’s sucks! We had 80+ ppl pre-selected & judge interview everyone, so took like 4hrs of waiting time. I just sit in my cozy office & watch anime & YouTube while waiting.

My interview was simple. I guess I messed up the pre-jury selection question. Question asked if I cannot speak, read or understand English & I answered “Yes” …I should of made some thick Engrish accent lol

Reminds me of back in the day in the old Army. OK, I may have tiold this story, but since ol Tcoat ain't around to tell me I've already told it, I'll tell it again ....anyway.

One fine day the Brigade Commander assembled a court martial board made up of a half dozen of us Officers. He told us that we had about 12 cases for us to review ...... but, don't take all day to conduct them.

Lt Keating (a West Point graduate) was put in charge because he had one day DOR (Date of Rank) on the rest of us, although we were commissioned a week before he was (that's another long story).

The gavel went down and Keating summoned the first slack jawed soldier in. After a quick prosecution and an even quicker defense and an even quicker deliberation, BAM, the gavel went down. Yep, "6 and 6" was the verdict (6 months in the stockade and 6 months 2/3 reduced pay).

Keating then announced "bring the next guilty SOB in". BAM, you guessed it, 6&6. And so on, we were out of there by noon.

Gonna get down into the 20s (°F) tonight. Lit the first fire of the season in the stove. Hard to believe it was 60° last week.

Doesn't help that my dad decided that any wood was good to burn so now I have non-dried stuff all over the wood pile.

Flew kites at Golden Gardens on new years day with my kite buds.
Hot chocolate, cookies and chili were available.

Others were splashing in the Sound, playing beach volleyball or burning x-mas trees.
As one does.

My first ever jury duty ended quickly. Checked-in in the morning. Guided to the juror room & explained how to go into the courtroom & where to sit. After that chit chat w juror for an hour & judge came into the room saying defendant’s lawyer & state lawyer came to the agreement outside of the court, so case is done…

At least they came me the right number for my juror number lol
