Just curious, are you referring to something other than the key lock you can open it with?

I have driven 6 Twins and rode in a few others and have never once heard a "clunk" from the EPS. Are you on stock wheels, tires and suspension?

Not exactly 86 related but speaking of encountering junk in the road...When I was in college I test drove for Ford. I was in a caravan of 4 F350 Super Dutys on 94 west and I was in the back of the group. We are all doing about 70 and somehow this guy with a trailer pulling a little tikes house manages to get in between me and the truck ahead of me. About a mile later the little tikes house just slides off the trailer and is sitting upright in the middle lane. The guy pulling it apparently had no idea because he just kept driving like nothing happened. I had no choice but to plow into it as I couldn't change lanes on either side as there were cars next to me. The house basically exploded and pieces went flying everywhere including over the big cement median and into oncoming traffic. I have no idea if anyone else's car got damaged but the truck just had a scratched grill. Watch out for that road debris!

Honestly the only thing that really bugs me about the car is the windows. My driver's side squeaks whenever it gets wets and my passenger side makes a terrible cracking noise when you open it. I've tried cleaning them, cleaning the seals, lubricating the seals and nothing works.

It is the weird world of frameless windows.
I had the TSB done and it helped a lot.

My driver's side does the squeak also, and I get a big stripe of moisture when I roll down/up. I've been considering asking for it to be fixed under warranty.

Your would already have the new parts so there is not much more they can do. The wet stripe is just the guide and all you can do is keep the window really clean.

Yes, stock everything. It seems to be plaguing a lot of the cars having middle eastern specs. A few went to the dealer, the dealer suggested changing the entire steering column. Took it to a garage for changing injectors and when i went to take it back, the guy outright said you also have a really bad case of the rattling steering column like the others here.

Recorded a small video on the way back. Went over rumble strips before a speed breaker, no noise over the first few strips (1-3 secs) but as i slowed down you can hear the rattle pretty clearly (3 secs onward)

Wow. Wonder what could possibly be that different. Never heard anything even close to that here.
Anybody in North America have that?

Here another one under braking (happens rarely though). You can hear it loud and clear. The most frustrating part is there doesnt seem to be a fix yet.

Did it do it before your first accident? That is awful.

Yeah it's not.the best sound, especially when other people are around.

It's unfortunate because something like windows should be pretty easy for Toyota (maybe I should put the blame on Subaru?). My 1991 mr2 windows work flawlessly and it's a 27 year old car.

It did before the accident as well. My normal commute had good paved roads so never bothered a lot. However, due to construction activities happening in my area, a few detours are temporary roads paved with cobblestone and that's when it started getting on my nerves!
