People's Reaction to Your New FR-S

So far I've had 2 cop cars follow me closely for a mile, get on my side and stare from the side for a mile, then give me a nod and go on their way. Kinda freaked me out and made me worry that I couldn't get away with my normal five over the speed limit.

When I first got her and drove her to school the first time, all the kids in the parking lot just made a huge circle around her for 3 days straight. Made me feel like the coolest kid in school.

I got mine yesterday and EVERYONE has been staring at it as I drive past them, probably because the TRD CAI and exhaust give it a nice deep rumble and it just attracts attention. Stopped at a gas station and people came to look at it and tell me how nice it was.
The car's been out for more than a year and I can't believe people still have NO clue what it is.

Over the course of about 3 years in my 2004 Lancer Ralliart I probably had this happen maybe twice, haha. I hope the people where I live now aren't jaded to these cars now or afraid to ask questions and give props. I need to meet new people in the area anyway, car people especially. Anyone in the El Paso/Ft. Bliss area on here?

I've been going to car meets on Mondays and Fridays, and while I hadn't been getting much attention, this last Monday I had loads of people surrounding her, probably because she's the only SC'd 86 in charlotte. Tonight's likely going to be the same, but we'll see. I do get lots of looks from suby drivers, especially once they hear the burble.

I can understand wanting to change the badge but I think I'll take the opposite route. I plan on "playing up" the fact that it's a Scion and in the Car and Driver I got in the mail yesterday they compared it to a Porsche Cayman S.

Oh yea no joke, the designers and engineers looked to supercars, and other cars like the 911 and Cayman S for inspiration on the way they feel when driving them on the limit.

Day one I had a guy at the lights yell from a truck "Light'em up". I don't think he knew exactly what kind of car it was.

First road trip had a car full of kids waving out the back window.

7-11 parking lot I was asked "How much was that?", "27 and some options" I said, "looks like it cost 60" was his reply.

Today, walking in to the bank, a guy stops his truck and asks me how I like it. We ended up talking for about 20 mins in the parking lot about his tuned Miata and the FR-S, me standing there, him sitting in his truck the middle of the lot. He had to back up once to let someone out of their stall.

A nice woman came up to my car in the parking lot of a restaurant as we were headed to my car Friday night with some questions about the ‪FRS‬. Turns out her wife was interested in picking one up and wanted to know if I liked mine. 20 minutes later, I was hopeful they'll be picking up the ‪‎Sc10n FRS‬ because of all the awesome extras, especially the audio. Told them to check out 86FEST, too. Hoping to have some new FT86ers in the LB area!

Hadn't gotten to play happy salesperson in awhile, lol, so it was nice. Even a year later, still turning heads! ^_^

ive had 2 people already ask if its a ferrari LOL... and atleast 10 people on the freeway slow down or break there necks when i drive by to see the car haha...feels good

Waiting to pull out of my parking spot at a local McDonalds' yesterday. A Toyota mini van drives by, brakes, backs up and the 60'ish lady driving rolls down the window.

Her: "What car is that?" "I know it's a Toyota from the emblems, but a Toyata what?"

Me: "It's a Scion FRS."

Her: a perplexed look.... "Okay, thanks!"
