ROTA GRID 2 vs Fast HAYAKU
So I've been trying to decide between these two wheels for street use for a while. Does anyone have experience with ROTAs or Fast wheels?
I can't tell if there's any real difference in their design. Keep in mind, colour/finish as it comes from the manufacturer doesn't matter as I'll be getting them powder-coated anyway. ROTA GRID 2 Fast HAYAKU Tell me what you think! ROTAs or Fasts?

Whats the weight and price and offsets/widths available, that should help. They look close enough.

Yea, my buddy suggested just getting some used ones and getting them fixed up since I'm powder-coating them anyway, they potential damage won't really be visible when they're PC'd.
Also, probably gonna get my KW V3s first.

I'd do the actual sizing when ordering... 18x8-8.5 in the front and 18x9-9.5 in the back. But coils first, so I'll revisit this at some point in time.

I have a friend who had FAST wheels, no issues with them. Finish stayed nice through the life of the wheels, and they were cheap. Since they look so similar, I would still be looking at what offsets and widths are available - match that to the tire sizes you wanted, and how flush you want. In addition, as I said weight would be another factor. Visually they are so similar, the Rotas being closer to TE37's than the Fasts - whether thats a good thing or bad thing I guess is your call. If you want concave that might play into your decision, I know the grid's can come pretty concave, not sure about the fasts. |

I had Rota Grids on my 03 WRX for 7+ years and never had a problem. Hit many a potholes and some curbs and they held up like a champ. Did get some curb rash and the color, had royal sport bronze, started to fade a little but overall I was really pleased with them.
Also a +1 to wheeldude. I got my rotas from them back in the day, still might have been suby dude when I ordered them, but time and old age has clouded my memory. |

QUICK QUESTION! Do those fastwheel hayaku wheels really weigh 21.9lbs as advertised?! Seems like A LOT for 17x9's
