Overlaid for your convenience.
More power with less ethanol. Identical kits, different headers. |

Definitely a nice top end with the Ace header. It's difficult to really do these comparisons accurately though - basically you have to start with the same car, same dyno, same day, same tuner, same 'tuning effort' etc. I.E. MaximeT made a great point that the ACE tune has tons of time behind it, where most header tunes have just a couple hours - no doubt that top end difference is at least partly due to a superior header design, but it also could be due to a lot of time spent fine tuning fuel/timing maps.
I think in the end, if you're willing to pay for it, the ACE header setup is one of the better "out of the box" headers out there for our cars both NA and FI - not only because of the design but because of the large amount of tuning/testing support between Delicious/CSG/ACE. |

I can't speak for the header on FI setups, though that will change in the near future. But I have ran OFH, Tomei and ACE 350 all on NA setups. The ACE is just plain better and you can feel the difference. Is it magic, no, but its the only way i would go after having experience it.

The current tune on the CSG BRZ makes substantially more power across the board, as fine tuning and track testing have revealed more small tweaks that incrementally all add up to a significant power gain. The crazy part is that this is all with no major changes to the setup. Catless front pipe to Ace front pipe, and just a lot more tuning time. Same stock engine, same C30-94. |

Given that all this development went into a tune for a C30, what if I wanted run the C38? In other words, if I got the delicious tune for ACE header and Flex Fuel, would the C30 tune work on a car with C38, or is it a significant effort to retune?

It's a different tune, but the results would be similar (but higher).

Tracked BRZ Ts with Edelbrock SC - No Issues Whatsoever
I have an Edelbrock Supercharger with an ECUTEK Tune and the power is nothing less than amazing.
Have upgraded to Jackson Radiator/Oil Coolier, Catch Cans, Versus Fuel Door and when I go to the track it just runs. without any issues. |
