Why spent that extra 4k into a version that has all the flashy stuff you don't need? When it can go towards FI. |

I probably missed it, but has anyone weighed their car? Google says 2798lbs, but that seems hard to believe.

The 2798lbs is for the Limited model. The tS weights 2842lbs.

Anyone else notice that the window sticker on the tS says 2018 Subaru BRZ Series.Yellow? lol
edit: Might only be a Subaru of New England thing or something, I saw another BRZ tS window sticker online and it doesn't say Series.Yellow. Last edited by davidvanchu; 03-25-2018 at 08:35 PM. |

The 44 lbs the new ts weighs isn’t much for extra rigidity right? I mean if you get aftermarket wheels and suspension, you’ll easily drop about that amount.

The wheels aren't forged, so not the lightest possible. Bigger wheels means also bigger tires. Overall, the extra 44 lbs is not too much. Issue is that the weight of the limited edition is already high. So you are adding a bit more weight to an overall "heavy" car. When the car was first launched it wasn't really heavy, especially the bare bones edition. But after every revision it went heavier and heavier. It would be better the tS to be lighter, but then the price would go even higher.

Is the tS lowered at all from the factory? I assume with pink STI springs it is.

With the 18" wheel the gap should be smaller, but overall should not be lower.
