NA it's super, SUPER loud... a turbo would quiet it but SC won't.
Yeah I run a Kw sc brz with Jdl UEL header and Perrin full exhaust 3", believe me whenI say, it's loud

It's sexy as fuck loud and cops have not bothered me with it yet (although I have only been driving around for a little while), but I mean it also probably wakes up people at times . And you can't have quiet talk in the car if above 3k rpm but I love it.

No idea. I have a Nameless header... I have to say, it has quieted some, which is great.

Wrap the hell out of the overpipe, headers and if you have a downpipe, wrap it! It baffles the higher pitch noise. The FBM 3" is factory quite until I give it about 30% throttle.

After that, it's openly loud like a mustang with an xpipe and cat delete. Highway is quite, no drone at all.

Question

So the full 3" JDL exhaust has been installed and yes it is extremely loud! If I could have known it would be this LOUD, I would have stayed with the stock exhaust. Is my best option to wrap the whole exhaust and headers to quiet the system down or is there a better option? I thought moisture corrosion is an issue when wrapping.

UEL uncatted header
overpipe frontpipe with cat and resonator
catback with Magnaflow resonators

I'm running a complete FBM 3" overpipe and all. I don't have a sound issue but I did wrap my turbo headers. I think 3" on NA & SC might be louder than Turbo if I recall, something the way the air is spinning out of the turbo. I don't have a cat or resonator aswell.

Yes, a turbo quiets things down a lot.

Mine is only loud when I really get on the throttle - it's reasonable around town now - either I've gotten used to it or it's quieted down a bit (and I did have a small leak somewhere that may have contributed to noise level while it was there.) RE71R is louder at highway speed. When I'm on PSS, the exhaust and the transmission whine vie for sound level and annoyance.

I was hoping I might be able to stick with it if I get the high rev cold start disabled with my tune. Or would a different catback help? Seems like such a waste as you can really feel the air flow out the pipes. Further suggestions appreciated. I assume the stock exhuast isn't all that bad. I could always switch back and leave on the JDL headers. Just want to look at all options before I go and sell to someone running a turbo setup.
