The material exchange for marks is great, I have so much useless Vanguard rep because I already own all the guns so this is perfect, going to keep stocking up when I hit the cap.

Fair warning though, there will be new Vanguard and Crucible weapons and armor when the DLC drops, so don't spend all your marks.

I also joined the Gypsy Hunters, 4 members WHOOOO!!!! I probably have a 5th who would join.

Yeah around 8:30EST all my friends disappeared and my friends app wouldn't work. I gave up and watched football instead.

Alright glad to hear I wasn't the only one. Mine went down at around the same time actually. I also got off and went to watch some hockey haha

Probably could have done a hard reset but that would have required getting off the couch.

If you have payment information saved on your Live account I suggest you delete it or switch to PayPal.

Glad you joined! I plan on putting up a recruiting thread on the Destiny APP sometime this week. Try and get a few more people into the clan. I know MokSpeed has quite a few friends that do Crucible, so if they joined we'd have a pretty solid Crucible crew.

Yes, not too long after I downloaded the update and started playing. I was able to run a few bounties but none of my friends were showing up.

Fortunately, I learned this lesson the hard way with my girlfriend's son when he stayed home sick from school one day and decided to go on a spending spree. Lesson learned. I removed my card info and from here on out I'll just buy the pre-paid cards at WalMart or wherever when I need to renew account or purchase things. Luckily it was a small amount, nothing like could have happened with a stolen card.

I did 2 hard resets of my internet connection and it didn't help my situation. I probably messed with my networking for an hour before giving up. Messed with ports, ran tests, switched IP Addresses around...the problem was definitely on Microsoft's end.

I heard about the DDoS attack. I'm wondering if there's any credibility to it. Microsoft hasn't released any information about it and I haven't seen any articles from legit sources.

It is fun yes, the gameplay/gunplay is excellent.

The story is sub par/barely there.

Despite not being an MMO, there's a TON of MMO-style repetition & grinding. You're forced to repeat the same Strikes and Raids week over week in hopes of random loot drops which are required to level your characters and advance.

Depends on what you like in a game, and what you're expecting Destiny to be. If you like FPS games but want something more, then this will certainly deliver because there's always something to do, or progress to be made; that's what makes an MMO.

I love it. Played probably every single day since release. Sure there are gaping holes in the story, but there enough there to enjoy. The gunplay is perfection. The visuals are beautiful. The devs are constantly tweaking the game, and there's little things that pop up here and there that are kind of unexpected. I just hope once the expansions are released they continue to keep it interesting. So far they're doing a decent job. I think there's a Destiny demo, or at least there used to be.

It's definitely a time sink if you let it be, but there's ways of making a little play time each day more productive if you want to maintain normalcy in life.
