Vortech Supercharger

So just got word that Vortech is developing a supercharger kit for the FR-S...I wonder how that is going to turn out. Their stuff has been pretty good in the past, so i'm fairly excited.

They said it would most likely be available around winter 2012.

Get them on here doing a thread like Accelerated is for their TC kit.

For some reason I went with a 7 year comprehensive warranty on the car so if I do anything to the car, it'll have to be TRD... but it's nice to have options, and it's very nice to see customer interaction and development processes, which shows confidence in their ability to release a great product.

i think a Supercharger would be great addition for those drifters out there. a cheaper and satisfying hp boost. Hopefully it will be affordable and cheaper then competitors turbo kits.

if we can just get ATI procharger to make one too. Self contained, no drilling into the oil pan.

I recently tuned a Vortech setup on a VQ, and that needed a larger upgraded MAF to accommodate ... but all things considered, they are better than the Stillen offering though. We'll see how this one goes!

I'm guessing 4 - 5 PSI kit...

I think with subie's you can normally just stick the MAF in a larger pipe and re-scale it.

Indeed, there's that option too and I feel that if there's more parts, that would usually equate to more cost.

Same, I went with a 7yr/100,000 warranty. They gave it to me for 1,000. So I couldn't pass it up, lol.

Will need to go TRD too.
