I found that thread. Quite awful. I hope I don't run into that much push back.

Luckily I've had all my services done at the dealer so hopefully they'll back me up if I need a new engine.

This engine makes so many different noises it's hard to tell if something is broken. I might have this same problem as well, currently at 53k

Lol dealers won't back you up.. still don't trust them.. unless you know someone that works there lol...

After all what I'm going through and get it fixed I'm still going to be doing my own oil change..
that's how a true car guy rolls this issue won't stop me.. also states that you don't have to take it in for oil change but it's kind of good in a way but still screw that..

Take it to the dealer if it bothers you.

I listened really close to my engine idling when I changed my oil today and I could hear similar sounds, including the clunking sound. You have to be really close to hear it. I only checked because I wanted to compare from the video in this thread, and I happened to be changing my oil. I haven't heard anything out of the ordinary from in my car while driving. I think it is a normal noise that people don't usually hear because they dont listen so closely.

Are you able to hear it inside the cabin? I only picked it up because I was texting while in a parking spot with the music off and I heard it.

Anyways -- I'll take my car to the dealership and have them check it out. If it's not normal, then we both have a problem with our cars. If it is normal, I saved you a trip to the dealership.

I don't hear anything different from the inside than I ever have. Just the occasional crickets like usual, and the AC compressor kickin in and out. I didn't check because I thought I had an issue, I just wanted to compare how mine sounded to your video, and I thought it sounded similar.

Thanks for checking.

I could actually hear this knocking from the inside from my car.

The funny thing is, I don't have crickets most of the time . Sometimes I do, but 80% of the time I don't.
