Yea! Sorta

Just got a call from my dealer. My expected delivery date has been moved up to March from the 3rd week of April.

I didn't need to. I was prepared to pay like $500 but the guy said it was cool since the car was so far out anyway. But I've got the order all set and my name is on it, so I should be good.

The 4th gen still looks nice! I've owned three 4th gens and loved every one!

I put a $500 down and the dealer just acted as if that was customary. I'm almost certain I've read on these forums that others put more deposit in than that though. I'm not too concerned with the amount, it does come off the price after all. It gives them less excuses to do nothing about your car either. "Hey, how's my car coming along? On it's way there?" and the dealer is like "It'll get here when it gets here". "but you already have some of my money..."

Put my deposit down today on Inazuma (series.yellow)
Dealer says should be here in the next 4 to 6 weeks.

Not that it will happen immediately, but where would I look to learn about HPDE. Specifically where do I look to locate the events. There is a track somewhat near me (1.5 to 2 hours drive) that I have had troubles understanding their event schedule. I have seen where some clubs or groups just follow along in a region going to each track and have their own schedule but I'm not really interested in leaving my state for that kind of thing just yet. I only know of the one group (I think it was NASA) that does something like this. I have been to the website for the track and only see soon upcoming events, it would be nice to know the schedule for a year too.

Racing seems like a cool thing to get into but the fear of voiding my warranty or having my insurance company laugh at me for repairs makes me want to avoid it altogether. Maybe HPDE is a happy medium?

I am aware that there is a few threads related to this and have been reading those as well.

TLDR:HPDE safe/harmless? When/where can I see all the event schedules for 1 track?
