Why switching out the stock tires though? They're not as bad as you think they are. For all the trouble switching tires, not sure you'll see a difference. What make/model of tire? I'd recommend saving the $$ for other mods. |

Check the wheel directory and have a look at others here: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35463 http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=63268 Either run staggered F8.5 +45/R9.5 +45 or go square with an offset closer to +35 to +38 or add 10mm spacers to the front or go with another wheel option |

Forgive me if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find anyone on this particular thread with the STi lowering springs...will either 17x9 +35 or 18x8.5 +38 fit on stock suspension with STi lowering springs?

Not sure on lowering specs for the STi springs, but you should be fine with that setup!

Hey guys - I'm thinking of purchasing some wheels that are 17x8 Offset 42. I am going to be lowered on the RCE springs (~.8" drop). Will I have any issues clearing the spring perch or any other rubbing issues? Thanks for the input.

That's a good offset for that wheel, no issues at all with inside or outside clearance.

Hey guys, I've searched this thread quite a bit and gotten a vague idea of an answer but just want to be sure:
Looking to go 18x9 et38 XD9s all round and I’m currently on a 1” drop from Eibach pro kit springs. Now due to the laws in Australia I can’t poke out any further than the stock fenders (correct me if my wording is a bit off). With 235/40/18 or 245/35/18, would this be fine to avoid rubbing as well as poking in order to stay legal? Perfect flushness isn’t that much of a concern, just want to avoid being defected! Daily driving use btw. Much appreciated. |
