Try this. Get on a multi-lane road (freeway) and in the center lane. First make sure your rear view mirror is pointed straight back down the lane you're in. Get in the center lane and allow cars to pass you on your left side. Swing your left side view mirror out far enough that you can't see the car behind you. As a car approaches in the lane to your left you want to adjust your side view mirror so that you will see the car entering your side view mirror 'before' he leaves your rear view mirror. You also want the car that's passing you to be in your peripheral vision 'before' he leaves your side view mirror. A small head check might be required but nothing more. Repeat everything with your right side mirror. It will seem strange at first but if you think about it, it makes a lot more sense than seeing the car behind you in all three mirrors. You will not have a blind spot any more.

Twice I've been to the Journeys shoe store to ask for boxes. The first time was because an acquaintance worked there at the time. The boxes are a decent size and quite strong, so I stopped by a random store long after said acquaintance was gone, and the manager was quite happy to give me a bunch of boxes (more than I could fit in the car) and told me to come back for more if I needed.

Like I said, their boxes are great for moving. Stop by any of their stores.

I've always done this, it's the best and annoys the hell out of me when my wife drives my car and I have to reposition them again because she doesn't. Also here's a handy graphic at this link:

If you think about it, every car has blind spots. There isn't anything new about ours.

Odd request but the girls parents are coming into town and since we are in a one bedroom small ass apartment I opted to find somewhere to stay this weekend. I was wondering if anyone has a place to crash for Friday Saturday and Sunday night.

This is one of the things I miss the most about my previous car. I wish they'd do something like that for the twins. It solves the problem with the blind spot and keeps the magnification rate (for the most part) the same as the stock mirror.

This is another option. I've tried this and it takes some getting used to, but my problem with it is that I regularly park in reverse and having the mirrors so far out makes it quite hard.

Adjusting while driving is reckless and dangerous, though. I'd suggest that this adjustment be done with the car parked, following this procedure.

I thought we talked about this. You are more than welcome in my second bedroom.
