Upgraded Vortech V2 Smaller pulley question (16psi??)

I appologies as this may have been covered. I was searching thru alot of miscl stuff.

A base to start (before the bash):
1.) I have upgraded Vortech V2 (good for 55,000rpm) (previosly ran 3.125" pulley)
2.) I am in the middle of building my motor 10:1 compression Forged rods and pistons with Dynosty bearings.

I would like to run a meth kit soon, however for now basing off of running pump gas Octane 94.

I want to run around 16psi boost (good to handle 20psi MAX) Is there a smaller pulley then the 2.87"?? and who sells this other then FA20club???

I believe Vortech smallest that could work is a 2.62" Any one try using this yet or know where to get???

Also any recommendations as to why to or not to run this. I am open to factual opinions. Superchargers are still all new territory to me.

Thanks!

Given the belt configuration you have to use with this kit, you'll get some serious slippage if you go under 2.87. PSI shouldn't be the goal really, especially with superchargers.

Fair enough. I am just use to TC. Just figured wouldn't hurt to up the boost with built motor. Maybe I will just run the 2.87" pulley with meth kit. I'm not looking for massive power obviously. But would like to maximize the Vortech potential.

Wouldn't the 2.87 get you to around 16psi? I'm using the 3.125 and get around 12psi. You get 1-2psi every size smaller, so 3.00 would get you around 14, and the 2.87 around 16psi. I'm not really sure I'm just basing the boost from my experience.

You could be right. I thought the 2.87" was around 14psi. There is something to do with engine rpm to crank pulley size gives you the psi given.
