Koni Sports in SCCA SOLO

I just installed my Koni Sport yellows and still using my stock springs for SCCA SOLO C -Stock. I did my first event on April 14th. We use airport runways and I am still trying to figure out what settings I need. I tried out full stiff in front and rear and I am getting a lot of oversteer. I am running on Nitto NT-05s which is a huge upgrade from the stock Primacy's. I've seen someone here that posted that use 1 turn from stiff in the fronts and soft in the rear but my course setup has a lot more highspeed slaloms and sweeping turns. Any suggestions that could help. I was running 38 PSI tire pressures and then dropped them to 34PSI. I ended up with really good results that day: 1st place C-Stock and 9th fastest time but I felt my car could have been smoother.

You might get better input from Sam but you may want to start much softer front and rear. Start even. You don't ever want to run close to full stiff, namely on concrete it will definitely unsettle the rear. And keep your pressures around 33 front and rear to start.

I did a NASA high speed autoX this weekend at VMP...I started with 1 turn to stiff all around @ 34F/32R PSI....I had bad over steer and was very loose. By the end of my runs I was at full stiff front and half turn from stiff rear w/ 32psi front and 31psi rear. This was a huge improvement over what I started with. I’m on RCE's...but this is just for comparison. I like to hear what others with similar setups are running.

Hopefully May 5th, it will be warmer for my tires to stick more but I am going to go softer and adjust my tire pressures a bit and see what my results are.

shock tuning is a black art for anyone without a damper rig or R2D2 worth of sensors strapped to their cars

but google can be your friend, lots of people have written on the subject

so you can do the fisherman catch a fish/teach to fish approach and either copy the setup of succeful autocrossers or do some reading and see if you can figure out why the former setup works and why your current doesnt

keywords are "shock, tuning, autocross, racing" etc
