I was in the right lane in the double turn lane (top right) on Route 129 waiting for the light to turn left into the right lane of the %&$#?@! circle, a.k.a., roundabout, rotary, whatever it's called where you live, to make a right to the mall (top left) when an SUV in the left lane, no blinker, decided she was going to try to occupy the same space in the right lane that I was in. Braked hard and did not crash.

And for my relevant story today, drove my FRS today, missed crashing by about a quarter second. Idiot in a generic beige SUV pulls out taking a left in front of me. As my ABS is noisily trying to find grip they stop in the middle of the road, see me, then do the laziest "I'm sorry" wave anyone facing a 1.5 ton body moving at them at 50mph has ever done. They were just enough in the road that I was able to duck behind them and get back on my road on the other side. Damn I need a dashcam. |

My FR-S is lowered about 1/2 an inch so when I go over the horribly installed speed bump that leads into my apartment complex I have to go at an angle with one wheel going over the bump and the other going over the flat part which separates the bump in each lane...
The angle isn't that large, but it necessitates going over the speed bump slowly, which you would think is common sense when going over a SPEED BUMP regardless of the car you're in... But nope, anytime I slow down to take the bump accordingly the driver behind me takes a shot of insta-rage and starts going wild (as if the additional 5-10 seconds it takes him to get to his parking spot when we are ALREADY IN THE APARTMENT COMPLEX will matter) while any oncoming driver feels the need to speed up making the already narrow road more difficult to navigate. So far I have not crashed... But today is another day. *For whatever reason the residents of this apartment complex enjoy scraping their cars and driving like the speed bumps are not there Some regular sedans scrape against this particular bump if you're not careful... It's a real mind-boggling phenomenon. |

If the speed bump is there, the bumper is going to protect the internal components when you go over it a little too fast by scraping the bottom of it.

Anyone else notice that if there is a car parked on the street in their neighborhood that is just asking to get hit ..??
As I take the girls to school in the mornings, we pass a parked car on a corner that usually parks too damn close to the intersection. You know, that area where the curb would be painted yellow, if it were downtown. It's a medium gray colored sedan, about the color of the street and sidewalk. Every day I say to myself ...... that car is going to get hit someday. I even stopped one day and mentioned that to the owner ...... who pretty much told me to mind my own business (although it is against the subdivision rules (CC&Rs) to park on the street). Well this morning, there sat the car, with its left rear quarter panel all smashed up, sitting in a pile of broken glass, plastic and other body parts. I did not crash ...... just witnessed one that had happened and was long overdue. Yes, another slow day in the neighborhood ...... humfrz |

On my way home a couple of weeks ago there was an accident on the street. Sure enough, it was two of the worst offenders that had managed to clip each other on the PASSENGER sides of their cars as they passed each other. I just waved and kind of smirked as I drove by.

I drove her up to and back from a cottage around monte tremblant this weekend.
The drive up was fantastic, A lot of fun twisty roads. The last 6km sucked royally as it was all gravel dirt roads. She was a absolute mess when I got home lol. Bugs, mud, dirt, dust. Now she's spotless. I love the Front end PPF, it makes removing bugs painless. |

Drove my twin to breakfast this morning with my middle son. He is staying with us until his apartment is available on the first. He is so glad to be back in Cali.
Did not crash. |

Drove my FRS on some back roads today, wound up on a dirt (well, mud today after it rained all week) road by mistake. Funny thing is the only other car I saw on it was a lime green Dodge Challenger. Of course, I had a blast. Did not crash.

Mrs Noodlefish and I went to the track for the first time on Thursday. Had an absolute blast and pushed the 86 in a way we've never done before. Best part? We did not crash!!
