Since the shop car is turbo'd the skid plate was removed. We located another one to use for test fit. We test a few of the headers we have tacked up here an the shop and say the issue. We have adjusted the jigs and will be fine from here on out. The guys that had the issue have been contacted and have been taken care of

The best photos I could take with limited space to fit my camera in

Great to see you guys make the quick update. Most companies would have dragged their feet and blame other factors.

Since I'm not a auto engineer, could you tell me what adjusting the jig was? What is a jig?

Oh and thanks for fixing the issue so quick.

A jig is like a pattern that they follow to make something multiple times.

A jig allows for repeatable results when putting together the multiple pipes to create the headers. The jig was made off of the original design so all will be essentially the same, but with a lot of love and time put into each.

I don't see this as a major issue, it's just a skid plate that can probably be bent some. If this is what most are worried about, then I'm not worried at all. Nothing a crowbar or hammer can't fix but I prefer not to damage the skid plate heavily.

Out of curiosity though, what is the fix in place for the headers that have already been fabricated?

Its not a major issue, but it still is an issue. JDL is taking care of us so thats all that matters.

I modified mine with a hammer, it does sit lower now, and the two back bolts don't go on very nice anymore towards the rear of the plate. I hit up my buddy who works in parts and its 170.99 list price for a new skid plate.

You won't have to worry though as no one else should have this issue. ft_sjo and I are the only ones affected I believe.
