"designed to fit four tires in the trunk" not just anecdotal.
At least it seems so from here, of last page scan.

Tada: "Our insistence that the car have a 2+2 layout was not founded on a desire to increase the breadth of the target market. In order for amateurs to have fun driving a sports car, there has to be room for tires, tools and other cargo needed for track driving in the back of the car. Two-seaters obviously don't have space for that sort of thing, so drivers end up asking their friends to bring it for them or buying a light van to transport it. It's an enormous amount of trouble. So with the "86", you can fold the rear seat down and put four spare tires in the back. We made millimeter-scale adjustments to the car's packaging so that tires would just barely fit into the back."

I still consider that anecdotal just from a "higher source".

I'm confused why this matters...I thought headrests weren't for comfort and are really just head restraints in the event of a crash to prevent whiplash? when I'm driving spiritedly, my head is typically leaning forward anyways

Any headrests from other cars fit our OEM seats?

Headsets from a 2016 Camry XSE fit well and they are the correct color with red stitching. Much more comfortable!

yep I totally get that, I was really confused as far as why OP was so worried turning the head restraint around.
to me it seems like he preparing for a meteor hitting his house, what is the point..

Well you can never be too careful with meteors. The point is that I don't even feel a headrest when it's turned around. Kind of like not having a head rest at all.

Would you drive, even on the street / highway, without a headrest?

your video with the helmet + turned around head restraint made it appear you would still have whiplash protection, I'm not sure how that is comparable to having absolutely no head restraint
