Instead of drilling, can it have, say, lugs on it so that it sits snugly 'in' the console. Doesn't have to be all the way around. Just front and rear maybe?

I was going to try to build one.... but now I see this one... and this is exactly what I would have tried to build. Who is selling it, are they taking orders.... I hate the damn "HOLE" I have in the center... lol. Why they didn't put a proper cover over that thing I will never know.

The right color dye and come epoxy or fiber glass will pack a small hole up and you'd never know it was there... but honestly, from the pics, I don't give a shit about a hole if this is how it will look. doesn't get much more perfect than this!!!

Hmm, here's a thought...

If you could make one that didn't require drilling or cutting, and that slid backwards, and that was compatible with the cup holders... What's the absolute maximum you'd pay for that?

I'm looking at the parts / labor for making one just for me, and it's dang expensive. A good set of slides for this job would cost about 45 dollars! And that's without any fiberglass, upholstery, or any of the other lovely things that go in to such an endeavor.

It probably cost around $100-120 to make one (excluding the first few which might cost more while figuring the exact shape, how much material) based on my past fiber projects. You might be able to get $200-250 but beyond that people will start to make comparisons to arm rests for other cars and say it's too expensive. If you stuck with a simpler glass cover (no upholstery think Mustang) and didn't have it flip or slide (I was considering glassing something like this, figured I could add a trim ring cup holder in the "heated seat button" dead space) you could probably get $100 a piece with only about $30 for materials (once the design is set). *2 cents*

From Scion Canada: At the present time, we do not have any information available regarding future accessories for released models of the FR-S or the available accessories and options that may be included in future models. We would also like to take this opportunity to mention that all Scion parts and accessories become available at a Scion dealership as they are released. As such, we would suggest discussing your interest in the arm rest with your Scion dealership so they may inform you when information becomes available.

I would surely get one when they become available. To be honest, the only thing I don't like about the FRS (I just picked mine up Wednesday) is no place to rest your right arm when you're cruising etc.

Can't wait for it to be released.

Features
-It doesn't interfere with the cupholder in the armrest (unless you've got a cup in them).
-It is setup at the same height as the armrest on the door, which is a nice feature.
-Soft black leather with red stitching that is a dead match for the rest of the red stitching used throughout the interior.
-Nicely padded
-Excellent fit and finish
-Button lock/release mechanism

Until this piece was installed, I never knew that I was missing having an armrest!

Here are some pics:

Please keep updating us,this armrest is the interior missing link!
