Here's an idea for someone with actual graphics making skills. Use the 86 with pistons logo, and make it wider and have it look something like this:

As much as I like the idea of incorporating the New England flag, I think it's too obscure.
Also -- and I'm really not trying to push my design too much -- but something simple in black and white that's mostly an outline and text will keep it from interfering with visibility too much. |

I like the idea of something small. While I like the above ideas with the region/map on them I think they would work better as a t-shirt. I'm thinking we keep this decal a bit more simpler.

@MannyO, yeah I'm sure enough that the FRS boys don't want to be reminded of Subaru's engineering... even though it is there.
On a side note, I like the enthusiasm so far from those who posted their ideas for the decals. Lets keep this going. Anyway, how open are people to collaborate the ideas together? I was thinking of adding the Region part of (mine) with the (86)NE idea together. And someone posted a fancier ONE that's flown together which is a good idea as well that could be incorporated as well. And I agree @rba, the flag concept might be obscure (depending where its being placed). That's why I was thinking of the region outline so you can still see through it easier perhaps. And @Chewie4299, were you referring to this decal from the Vegas group? or this

I agree that the decal should have Owners of New England on it.

I personally find decals that have the whole new england region map on it (e.g. - New England Region SCCA) to be too busy. I have been playing around with the idea of using a more "historical" font as the region is steeped in old american history.

I was thinking the same thing for the (86)NE or just as 86ONE.

Do you think removing the borders between the NE states would make the map any better? That way there'd only be an outline of the states.
@Steve86 -- I totally agree that the New England Region SCCA logo is very busy. I think that has to do with all of the colors, the fact that it is in a shape, and that there is a lot of text overlaid on top of the map. |
