I see, so it's still sealed to the oval shaped hole above the radiator. Makes sense.

I misunderstood when you said "no inlet," thinking it was left totally open to the engine bay.

Why not a plastic lid? After all that effort to keep temperature down using polyethylene it seems a shame to add a metal lid to soak and radiate heat down into the box.

BTW this is the best designed intake for this car I've seen so far. Sealed systems with all the filter surface area and flow of a cone system is the best combination.

Do you have a vague price point for this yet?

Hell, I'm just glad to have people a stones throw from where I live putting something like this together. Is pretty close to what I am looking for, and no one else is even in the ballpark.

So, when can I come get it?

First off, thanks! I think our enthusiasm for this vehicle shows in the final product.

Because I'm an Industrial Designer and brushed aluminum has a nice contrast against the black molded parts. Really though, I am working on insulating the lid as we speak. Even if it were not insulated, the surface area of the lid is a small percentage of the overall surface area of the complete system. Very little heat, if any, will radiate off the lid and make it into the throttle body.

Another piece of the puzzle I'm interested in. Price range? Thanks for the hard work on this.

I do agree contrast looks good. I like this design alot and I look forward to the finalized production version.

Any chance you will make one that completely deletes the sound generator? I'd rather have the pipe look as clean as possible.

This.

Glad to see someone finally using a velocity stack on one of these aftermarket intakes. I'd try to work one into the filter mount tube too

Machining a mold is very costly so we will probably not be making two molds to delete the sound tube port. However I think if you use our delete plug you might be happy to see the little feature we designed into it. I'll keep it a secret for now, but it does have some utility if you choose to take advantage of it.
