Had the additional idler pulley develop a squeak over the last few days. Car has about 7K miles on it with the SC. Pulled the pulley off and rebuilt it. Repacked it with wheel bearing grease. Bearings had minimal slop. Silent now. While I was in there I checked the throttle body for oil. No sign of any blow by, clean.

Here's some photos.

Sorry to bother but I really have no idea what I am looking at? What pulley is that exactly? One from the stock motor or the innovate? Why in one picture there are some bearings or balls and the other looks like just a gasket?

so confused

Check with Adam at GC ( @GC_Adam ). I've been thinking about the Innovate, and simply made an inquiry with GC. They had me take measurements between the strut bar and hood, so they could design something that would work with the Innovate kit. They contacted me last month, but I was too busy to get back to them. I'm pretty sure they have a solution (or are very close to it). I believe it's just a simple spacer to raise the strut bar a little.

Feel free to PM me, if you want me to follow up with Adam. They're GREAT guys, and will figure out a solution so you can keep it.

After 10 hrs of installation of the FA20club intercooler kit (was not a bolt on job) we strapped her down to the dyno and ran the non-intercooled tune to see what the intercooler does on its own.

Very dissappointed to see it lost about 15 whp. I am guessing this is due to there being a restriction now in the air stream. This data is contrary to what Bill has seen in the past. Maybe he can chime in here.

Loaded up @DeliciousTuning new ROM he made for me that added 5 degrees of timing and made 230 whp. This is very preliminary but I thought it would be interesting to show you guys what happens when you install this intercooler and how much whp 5 degrees of timing advance gave (30 whp). Will be working with Bill to polish the tune hoping to match or exceed innovate's results of 244 whp considering they didn't have a 70 mm pulley, header and exhaust....

Graph shows the non-intercooler tune vs. the advanced timing tune. Both runs on 91 with the intercooler installed.

Tach signal was having issues all night so we lost some data on some runs.

This site does a good job at describing Laminova intercoolers:

Yes there is a restriction just like with any intercooler. I think you will find your lost power in the tune.

no way the IC makes less power. Like @tech4pdx said, it will be found in the tune, and probably more (and remember on less boost because of the pressure drop)

It is a honda 11.5 psi sensor that my tuner installed a while back. Why do ya ask? Would I better off with a stock one?

Yes the IC made less power on the same tune. When we upped the timing aggressiveness the power came up.

This is contrary to what was shown before where an IC showed 10 whp gain not loss on the same tune. The only difference is the pulley and that might be a reason why I lost power instead of gained... Dunno.

That was my only point.

I was seeing the exact amount of pressure pre and post intercooler measured via a mechanical boost gauge.
