I'm also planning on going out there for the first time, so i'll most likely be in the same run group as you!
Great! I'm registered now, so see you there.

I have a tire pressure gage, but I don't have a tire pump, other than a compressor that requires AC power. Is there a place to leave my jack while I'm driving, so that I don't have to leave it flying around in the trunk?

I have a feeling after this first track day, I'll have a better idea of what I will need to bring in the future, and how I should plan on spending my money. Sounds like right now, other than perhaps pads/brake fluid and bringing a tire pressure gage and maybe jack, I should be good to go, assuming I can get air from someone there...

Thanks again!
Just unpack wherever you pit

I just found out friends from Hawaii will be in town so i'll most likely not go.

Yes you leave your stuff on the ground by where you parked your car. I don't think theft is a problem, but I wouldn't bring a toolbox full of snap-on parts. Overall everyone is nice and mature.

Woah, that was awesome!

I had a great time, and lucked out in getting @ImperiousRex as a teacher -- plus, he gave me a ride in his BRZ so I could see how it's supposed to be done.

As the day went on, my confidence increased and I started driving faster. But by the last session, I was sliding around quite a bit (well, as much as the nannies would let me). I think better tires would be a significant help. (I have the factory Bridgestones).

I'm looking forward to tracking again.

What'd you think of the grip and ride quality in his car?

I thought it felt really good, but I don't have anything to compare it to. I do think that my tires (and/or track condition) were a factor at the end of the day, once I got more comfortable and started driving faster. I did manage to stay on the track, so that's a plus.

Riding along with ImperiousRex, the grip was amazing. Never felt so many g's in a car before.

No, I was number 314, and probably looked confused pretty often. Confused but smiling
