Any suggestions on 57 xtremes with 18x8.5 +42 all around on bilstein b14's thinking toyo t1 sports in 255/35/18 but not 100% sure. Also thinking 245/40/18 but worried about clearance on the front on both setups.

Looking at 255/35/18 to put on my new 18x9.5 +40 rims, any other suggestions? I do not like a lot of side wall but like plenty of surface tread for those mountain drives. Was hoping to accomplish this on stock suspension.

Hey guys, I have come across many conflicting answers on this subject and couldn't seem to find the answer in this thread easily. What is the widest tire I can run on the rear without any major rubbing issues (mainly concerned about the rear fender). I would like to run a 255-265 tire if possible.

I am looking at of XXR 530 18x8.75 +33 wheels or 18x9.75 +20 for the rear.

XXR 530 +35

First and foremost I know nothing about offset and this thread is massive lol. I currently have stock rims and brand new tires. With the perfect tires I'd like to keep them and just replace the wheels . My questions: as long as the width and diameter are the same I can use my tires on the new wheels? And last would+35 offset be off too much or would that wheel work?

245/35 is also an option. Look at the tire specs, one brand in one size may be different on another. Look at the recommended wheel width for each tire.
245/40 is slightly tall, it depends on how low you are. If you aren't lowered more than an inch you should be ok. Much lower(~2inches), you could rub near full lock.

245/35. On stock suspension +40 will be very close to the strut. Maybe 5-10mm or less. Everyone's setup is slightly different. Not sure if you will rub.

18x8.75 will fit fine. 255 are ok. 265, look at the first post on this thread.
18x9.75 won't fit unless you run 4-5+ camber or are ok with 20-30mm of poke.

+35 17x9 is a common setup.
Stock 215's on a 9inch is a medium to big stretch. Read the specs on the tire from the manufacturer and decide if you feel it is safe or not. I personally don't mind a stretched tire, but they have higher chance of failure because the tire was not designed/tested/etc in that manner. Once again, look at the tire specs. If it makes you feel any better I am running a 225/40-18 on a 9.5 width wheel.

The tires are on stock wheels so the rim I buy will be a 17x7. The only thing different will be the offset. Just curious if +35 is too big of a difference from the +48 stock offset

Get a ruler and measure 13mm and go outside and imagine how it would look 13mm further out. Pretty much 1/2 inch. Should be nice without going too big. I personally like something a little bigger, but it will fit with no problems.

I'm lost with this wheel stuff. I was wondering if anybody can help me with the offset. I'm looking to buy Klutch SL14 18x9.5 all around with 245/40/18 all around as well. will +42 in front and +30 in the rear work with stock ride?

Quick tire fitment question for you experts:

I'm looking for a set of winter tires to mount on my stock rims. I know the stock tires are 215/45/17, but I've found better deals on a few different models that come in 215/50/17 or 215/55/17. Can I run these slightly higher profile tires? Suspension is fully stock.

Thanks in advance!

The problem is the strut/spring is too wide. If you put camber bolts you will put the wheel closer. It is a mixed bag if it fits or not. +38 x 9.5 is about 5mm away from the front strut. +40 would be 2mm closer and with added camber it would be even closer. +35's are pretty safe, and you can add a small spacer to get to that point. +40's may also rub at full lock on the tie rod.

42 wont fit and will rub on tierod at full lock. need 5mm spacer. Rear will fit but will poke quite a bit. 245/40's are a little tall but should be fine.

read the tire specs. stock is 24.7 diameter. I've seen people fit 25.6 (245/40-18) with no problems, while some rub very slightly(lowered) You should be fine if it is near 25.6 and not much bigger.

Cool, thanks. The ones I'm looking at are 25.5 so it sounds like they should be alright then.

If youre looking for winter tires, consider the 205/50R17. Narrower than stock, so better for winter, and overall diameter is close to the same. I recommend this size vs OEM to all my customers. They are also cheaper.
