Bought some Cusco FRS parts.... (pics)

I just got these installed, first purchase, and test fitting at Cusco USA. I'm happy to report to all of you that installation of the left-hand-drive master brace stopper equipped tower brace, diagonal supports, and oil catch cans installed fine, fit perfectly, and functions as designed. The oil catch tank does operate fine with EGR system with open vent configuration too, but can be chosen to install in a closed loop as required by emissions regulations in areas required, as well.

The tow hooks fit fine as well, but does require to you either remove the hook port cover, or drill it for a integrated look. This is without the covers for now, still debating if I want to drill or just leave it off till I need it on my track outing. I put it on both ends for you all to see.

Enjoy! They are available now from CUSCO USA.

Niiice! I'm going to get the Oil/Air separator too!
How is that mounted? Do you have to drill holes into the chassis? Or are there premounted holes for it? Any close up pics of this please?

It's dark out so I can't go take pics. But, I will say that all of these pieces fit fine in the existing holes and studs already on the car, and require minimal of tools. It's made by Carrossse Japan, Cusco's racing/manufacturing parent firm, so you are assured the quality. Just make sure you do buy it from an authorized dealer or directly from CUSCO USA as they are quickly imitated by many and knock offs and fake ones float about fast these days. In the case of hard-components, you always want the best.

Taken off a vendor website...

It's normal for a car to build up pressure in its crankcase due to “blow-by”. In order to relieve this pressure, auto manufactures have designed a PCV, or “Positive Crankcase Ventilation” system. This routs this hot vapor of air and oil back into the intake track so that it can be burned and sent through the car’s catalytic converter. However, this oil vapor can build up, and cause carbon deposits in the engine, and reduce the efficiency of the turbo and intercooler.

Installing an oil catch can in the PCV system removes a majority of the oil vapor to keep the entire intake track clean and running more efficiently.

i have installed one on my ms6 to help with whats described above it just happens to be a more substantial problem in mazdaspeed6 turbo cars. Its amazing what it will catch you will be happy that stuff isnt in your engine!!!! saves money later on or time and effort when you dont have to clean your valves with a wire brush! :happy0180: Love this mod, any first impressions on the strut and cross members?

@ motop - are the item prices listed anywhere?

Moto, can you get a close-up pic of the brake master cylinder stopper? I'd like to see that.

FRS/BRZ has boxer engine & they're weak against lateral g force. If you gonna track, autox or any strong lateral G's, I would recommend it! Unless you want huge white smoke to come out of your exhaust
