Uh.... No. There is no need for all that. Just don't get your panties in a bunch when the words complaining or whining are used.

Well we had a good run of civil conversation (both for and against) and some fun jokes before the name calling and accusations started at any rate.

Have fun ripping each other apart now guys.

How many of us are actually going to sit on the ground to see the visual of the front bumper at the angle seen in all those pics ? Myself, I'm behind the steering wheel.

No see that's where you're wrong, and @OldSkoolToys can vouch with me on this. Moto-san is the founder of club4ag, a well known and respected member within the ae86 community and a fixture at ae86 events, who has a personal relationship with Tada-san because Tada-san and Toyota reached out to the ae86 community when first planning the car back in 2007, before the concept car was even revealed. All his inside info has been accurate and more detailed, and sometimes well in advance of news released by the automotive media concerning the frs/86. You really ought to know the history and learn about the people in this community who are in the know and deserving of respect before you go openly doubting and questioning a legitimate source like moto-san. Oldskooltoys, ichi, and everyone in ft86 and club4ag will vouch for me when i say that moto miwa is a legitimate source of info.

Lol aside from questioning moto miwa, one of the founders and most respected members of the ae86 and new 86 community, it has remained civil i haven't noticed any name calling at all! People complained, then people complained about the complaining, then people complained about the people complaining about the complaining. Who cares, this is bound to happen, people aren't gonna always agree. It's all in good fun, right? But do learn who moto miwa is and give him respect! Lol

I'll take the stereo controls on the wheel and keep my '13. Front is not so great, but admittedly better than my BRZ's, only slightly though.

haha, no such thing, don't be silly. Just playing around and trying to bring some levity to this thread. It's a car, some like it some don't. It's plastic and metal and gas and oil. Let's just continue on with our lives!

I know perfectly well who he is am very familiar with his body of work and track record. In fact I have him as a Facebook friend (makes us almost related by today's standards). I don't think my comment was in any way disrespectful or that I was "doubting " him at all. In fact I thought I was clear in saying I didn't doubt him. I simply stated that what he provides is not official company statements and since even he is not likely subject to minute by minute updates he could be mistaken or misinformed. I very much doubt that Tada is still working on this car anyway and if he is then Toyota is squandering valuable resources on routine projects.

I am also well aware of how the internet and this forum works and will fight fire with fire when people start flaming me or others because they disagree. I may not (usually) fire the first shot but am prepared to continue the battle if anybody wishes to go that route. My passive aggressive statement and sarcasm skills have been hone to a fine edge over 20 years of forum participation and I am willing to use them although I would much rather enjoy a good joke or have a nice clean debate.

Hmmm here's the GRMN 86 manual trans gear ratio's. Wonder if the same gearing was done to the '17? Or too aggressive. Was any change to the final drive mentioned?

no one's fired a shot and no one wants to do battle! Look at stevesnj's post above, my thoughts exactly! Sheesh i really thought the debate stayed clean the whole time, i guess i'll stop making meme photos.
