On the topic, I'm interested in getting an avo kit installed in spring, does anyone have any advice or recommendations for me? I'm in the Mississauga area if that matters. I was thinking of going through touge tuning to deal with most of it.

I'm running AVO at 8 psi, full catless 2.5" exhaust, + snorkel mod, tuning solution i Ecutek. Mine on 98 RON make 205 kwatw (270 ish hp) dynopowers and around 280 ish nm (206 ft/lb), dyno dynamics chassis dyno. Dyno numbers so meh, but before and after: From stock NA tune, but with catless 2.5" exhaust and snorkel mod to AVO at 8 psi was 116 kwatw to 205 kwatw, so a 89 kwatw peak gain. But, peak gain is a cock stroking number, the area under the curve though is fat. Tuner said if I want more its E85, injectors and fuel pump to be safe. My gearbox may become a consumable item at around 350nm, the Aisin is rated at 250nm, (I'm hoping they added a 15% fudge factor) but risk vs reward isn't really there. Plus, at the current power level the car is a blast and will hopefully last a while. Fo what it's worth, when it was NA it went from 116 to 148 kwatw after a tune, again on 98 RON. All tuning was by Paul Fisher at Pulse Racing > https://pulseracing.com.au/

FI in Canada
Quote:
Previous poster has probably more valid information cause his is a real dyno but i have been using virtual dyno with input'ing as many paramaters as possible while doing min. 6 2nd gear pulls and input'ing tire, temperature, pressure, weight conditions and seems to be pretty accurate for results i'm getting for putting power down to the ground. here's my setup, been running boost for 4 years now: old speed by design turbo that is only oil cooled which i believe is the SBD300? it's the 16h mitsubishi turbo i think. titanium wrapped the header, did a catch can, gold foiled intake (don't think that does anything really) changed out entire exhaust to Nvidia N1 including overpipe which is a huge reason for torque dip as seen by last guy's stock dyno. upgraded brakes ebc red's and brake lines to stainless steel lines. running 245/40 falkens on 9" deep 17's if i remember correctly. got elevation changes living in calgary so gonna install the innovate SCG-1 boost controller to allow the mech. wastegate to be opened up to get to max. ram air before the gauge controls the solenoid to keep it at 10.5/11 psi. Need to check the FI threads to make sure i'm not losing mileage by overboosting. Honestly biggest think is keeping good fuel and the following three are all good (not getting into the corn side of things with E85) chevron 94 petrocan 94 husky 94 i don't have access to chevron in calgary i don't think but i can definitely vouch for the other two. When i lived in saskatchewan there was no petro can 94 and only the husky 94. husky is fine but i definitely saw the tank not last as long on mileage with the higher ethanol content. also one thing to note is that husky truck stops don't have husky 94; they actually use esso fuel. not sure why but it's true at least in calgary area. Not sure about other areas. hope this helps? |
