For my winjets I used a tape and tape measure method I found online. It's hard to find a place to do it that people allow use of at night, but I used a high school parking lot that was relatively flat. Even then I found it a little odd.

So I had a friend bring my CX-5 GT which comes with factory LED headlights. Marked it's location 30 feet away from the wall and beam pattern relative to the wall using tape, parked the FR-S on the same tape and aimed around 1.5 inches below them.

This is a really crude and incorrect method but the tape method didn't give me the road coverage I wanted with a non retrofit hid setup. I have yet to be double flashed by oncoming traffic with these lights and they appear to not blind others as I'm not able to see into the cabins of other vehicles for the most part.

For your headlights which have a proper projector and led setup the tape method should work perfectly. You shouldn't have any issues.

Wow, thanks for the quick response! I have been debating whether or not to buy these headlights. I have never taken off mine before, so I was a bit skeptical.

It's pretty easy, just make sure to take bumper out properly trying to not break the clips. After that everything's pretty straight-forward.

These work when replacing European GT86 headlights right? My car is a 2013, manufactured in 2012, not sure if newer models have different types of lights (HID, LED etc).

So post 48 also confirms my hyperblink issue in sequential mode, even on my 2017. Why aren't these things advertised as needing a hyperblink module?

That is a fair question. my guess is its prob oversight, most users are prob people who would have already gotten the much cheaper mod/upgrade of LED blinkers and flasher module.

I thought the MY 2017+ were LED compatible since my tail lights are LED/sequential and have no trouble. Anyway, I installed the hyperblink module and sequential turn signals on the headlights work correctly now. What a bitch to get at though.
