Update:
After spending some time driving the car with the FD, I'd want to share some things I noticed so far.

MPG - I was curious about the mpg going up or not, so I tested this out with a full tank of gas. I usually reset my trip counter with every fill up and get the total KMs and divide it with the liters used. I usually get 6.8 to 7km/liter. Thats with city driving in notorious manila traffic. I just had my tank filled up and averaged the mpg. I got 7.08 kms/L. So the FD does not hurt mpg.

Revs during Highway driving - I had the chance to take a short trip and use the highway, similar to the interstates to you guys, and took a look at the cruising speed to revs. At 100 kph in 5th the revs are at 2800-3000rpm. 6th gear seems a bit more usable now, and overtaking in 5th gear just needs a downshift to 4th rather than having to downshift to 3rd like before.

Daily drivability - Driving around town is a treat now because the car seems to rev faster and it feels lighter, if thats a valid observation. It definitely feels that you added HP. Responsiveness from the throttle still makes me smile after 2 weeks since the install. I can't wait to get back to the track. For the AT guys, the car shifts at the same shiftpoints as stock, it just shifts faster because of the new final gear ratios.

AT software compatibility - Before I did the mod, I read from this thread that the AT software might misread the vehicle speed and cause it to show different gears. To this day, there has not been any CELs. So if anyone is apprehensive in doing this because of this reason, fear not.

I couldn't even imagine a NA car without the FD....

Not doing this mod for those who plan to keep the car NA is power left on the table. My neighbor is doing this mod soon and is doing back to back comparison of acceleration. His car is 100% stock so far.

I'm still trying to decide on the Cusco 4.55 or the MFactory 4.67. But I'm also looking for shims. I think that's the main thing holding me back. I don't want to have the diff apart and not have the right shims. There are other brands in Japan with more ratios for our car, I just haven't found them online yet. Including ratios for the F/I guys with big power. Anyways, soon I will be ordering my final drive.... soon.....

speed shown is in MPH

the difference in my chart and cusco is i used dynamic rolling radius where they used static rolling radius
my graph accounts for (at a very simple level) how the tires expand when they start moving down the road at a higher speed
... So with the 5.1 I could still do 175mph (given enough power, of course....) Hellll yeah. If I could pick though, I think I'd like to be dead in between like a 4.7 would be right on. Add booostttsss and kapow

Can't wait to see results. Before and after 0-60 and 1/4 times would be cool too, just for shits and giggles.

Now add this mod:

Cusco close-ratio gear set

And let us know how you get on…

Also, would wonder how these two items would work with the Innovate SC setup…

I think the 4.55 is the best all around for mild FI....like 250whp. But more than that and I think the stock ratio allows for more "in gear" pulls. The short gear ratios I think are fine for SERIOUS 200+ WHP Na power. As you need it to keep you in between 6500 and 7500 rpms like Porsche does with their stock trans. My old Boxster S once you shifted from 1 to 2nd....kept revs in the sweet power band and THAT is why it was SOO fast with only 265 CRANK and 2900 lbs, But with headers our cars have a nice fat power band from 4500-7000 that should be exploited for sure. Now more than ever I love short shifting my car like a fire truck ! 3500-4500 rpm shifts make S2000 guys roll their eyes !
An S2k at 3500 rpms sounds like a cow farting after eating a bowl of beans !
