PAGE 10: RS Watanabes! Hey guys, let me introduce myself, My name is Phil from Chicago and I just picked up my Argento FR-S on Tuesday 7/17/12. It is now Sunday and I am at just shy of 500 miles. Hoping to break it in before next weekend so I can start having some real fun! I have been drifting for 7 years now and am part of a drift crew Grip Gambler which was formed in 2003. This will be more of a driving blog than a build thread since I really plan to track and drift the car in stock form to really see the limits of what a stock FR-S can do. The best mod is driver mod and with my short time with the car so far, I really believe this is a car that will help me grow and excel as a driver, allow me to practice and perfect techniques, get rid of bad habits, and leave me with a smile every time I get out of it. I see a lot of old familiar screen names on here especially from the Miata community. Some may know me from some of my previous drift cars below. I hope to pick up a Countour HD or GoPro cam soon so I can film plenty of in-car footage. Here is some footage from previous outings and from my girlfriend's Flip cam to give you an idea. Badass miata man. That's amazing to see that yall have such a lively drifting community over there. Not much of that over here. Very envious

I'm not. But with wheels that small, the stretch just doesn't offend me. I think it's because he didn't have to actually screw with the alignment to make the car not rub. It's not this. or this. You don't need to fit an exorbitant amount of tire under a Miata and I like low offset wheels, just not at the sacrifice of real-world actual handling. A mildly stretched tire will break away less progressively, but the cars pictured can't be driven at highway speeds.
