Thank you,
I'm excited to learn as much from you guys and this community, Having the support and collective knowledge of an online community like this one makes the experience so much better, for the good and bad times.

This is one of the things I miss when I turned my VW TDI in due to the emission scandal. The people at the TDI forum where great help with all the issues I had over the years.

Thanks again to all.

Post few pictures of your car, I have 2018 tS and it's my daily fun car, in two weeks I have put 600 miles already. Initially, I had trouble in stalling, jerking, slow starts, now I am bit comfortable in driving. I hope in another two weeks I will be a pro. Good luck with your car.

You didn't miss much on the 2018 - as mentioned better radio is the biggest upgrade, also auto headlight with wipers and "one touch" turn signal (push down briefly for the blinks to change lanes). Just passed 5,000mi on my '17 PP and loving it. I say it's my new SUV - put the mountain bike in back one day, take it to the track the next. :-)

I see, I'm not into radios, dont use it 99% of the time. on my previous car i didn't even programmed any stations. I mostly listen to podcasts from phone and headphones while driving.

The one touch turn signal was nice on the VW will miss that.

An aftermarket flasher can add in that functionality as well. Enjoy the new ride!

Nice, Any suggestions? I see one on Amazon for $60 but it does more stuff that I care for.

You should get this instead of those Amazon generics. Diode Dynamics makes great products and offer great customer service as well.

Congrats and welcome! You got a great deal; I think I paid about $1,500 more and I thought I was getting a great deal! I did opt to pay $500 more to swap in the color BRZ I wanted, though. Get rid of those crappy OE tires right away and get some proper rubber!

As for the flasher, get the basic TapTurn on ft86speedfactory

I honestly do not like the 3 blink flasher.

Sometimes Im a slow merger and the flashing just ends before im done merging....and sometimes I need to merge more than one lane and I have to flick it like 3 times.

My old corolla didn't have it, you flick the stalk for the signals, and flicked it up to cancel.

My Honda Fit sort of had it, but you held the stock down for as long as you needed then let go.

My X1 has the 3 blink flasher, it is as advertised. BUT the other somewhat annoying quirk with these BMW's is that the stalk ALWAYS retracts to the neutral position. With the 3 blink flasher you push the stalk and let go. With a regular signal you feel the "click" and let go. So if I wanted to cancel a signal I almost always end up signalling the other way because of the 3 blink flasher.....

Honestly if you go from a car with none of these "luxury" stuff and then you get into a car with these luxury stuff...you kind of realize some of this stuff is unnecessary. Of course you get used to it but I yearn for the simpler stuff sometimes.

2018 Kia Stinger has a feature where you can set number of blinkers a great idea!

I have the Diode Dynamics one. I forget how much it was, but they typically have a ~15% of coupon around holidays that I took advantage of.

You can also program in the number of flashes and a few other features.

Maybe instead of putting in all these electronic "features" they could have just made a blind spot driver side mirror like ze Germans.

At least on the VW you can turn off the lazy flashers via the menu or VCDS, and the emergency flashers only came on during real emergency stops and not every corner around a track.
