Automatic Lights and Wipers for 86?

Hey guys,

I havent seen any mention of automatic lights or wipers for the 86? Is it going to be made available on the GT or GTS?

Or is it something that will be left for the BRZ?

I was told the lights were automatic but not the wipers from the dealer.

Don't care for both of those.

Most if not all auto wipers are too sensitive and I prefer to switch on the lights myself.

I found that auto wipers is a useless feature to me because they don't work well, I end up using the wipers in manual mode all the time.

Regardless of what your personal opinions are on autowipers and lights. I just wanted to know if the 86 will see them at all.

If not on the GT, on the GTS.

Haven't heard anything official yet but if anything the GTS will have them before the GT.

I would assume no we dont have them.

Auto lights are also a useless feature... if it's too dark i turn my lights on... :S, if rain is too heavy i speed up the wiper speed.

Once you've lived with auto lights, you can't go back.

I haven't had to touch the lights on my Lancer since I bought it in 07.

Auto lights are fantastic. Ive had them in my Golf and they are a feature that is worth having.

Auto Wipers I also agree can be temperamental about 10% of the time. However the other 90% they are also good to have.

I have them in my Aristo... (1991) I always drive with my head lights on so auto lights are of no point to me. But hey if you guys like to have them turn on when a sensor says so that's fine.

I think the factory HID lamps are auto-dipping. So GTS model for us.

Love the auto light and auto wipers in my Honda. Definitely would prefer not to go back, but I'll take what i'm given.

It's a legal requirement in Australia to have auto leveling with HIDs.
