It has the header and port work also done.
I'm thinking I should try the ACE header as that is claiming more gain on it's on than I have seen with all my changes. Quote:

Piper Camshafts
That dyno graph still has peak power at around 7000, similar to stock. It will be interesting to see if the more aggressive cam enables power above this.
Great to see cams finally coming to market. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Last edited by Traktor; 09-02-2015 at 03:19 PM. |

The piper website says that with their stage 2 cams one would also need their valve springs.
Well since I am already running aftermarket double valve springs I was wondering if I could install the stage 2 cams (ultimate road) without changing my valve springs again. Anybody has some info/ opinion about that? I am also running +1mm oversize valves. |

I am running the Vortech Kit and not n/a, if that was what you'd hoped for.
For my results check the vortech owner thread. Since the oversize valves have been installed together with the engine builing i cannot say how much gains just by the valves could have been reached. |

I've just received an E-Mail from piper, that their stage 2 and 3 cams can also be used with other aftermarked stronger valve springs! Just if any1 else was curious.

Still debating whether this will make a noticeable improvement on NA. This might be the last thing that will go on before going SC.
Any dyno graphs? |

Something to keep in mind guys:
The more aggressive the cam is in regards to valve overlap (cleaner combustion = more power), the worse it'll be for boosted applications. It'll also be worse for states with strict emissions. In regards to the high flowing heads, I believe that might have something to do with the FA20DIT configuration of this motor. The torque that would have been gained from flow velocity when coupled with a twin scroll turbo would have likely caused some reliability issues with the transmission and transfer case. This then also bring up: Are the cams different on the DIT motor versus ours?

2013 the motors used different 2 intake valves and lifters. In 2014 they use matching intake valves and lifters. Cams are the same so are the rockers. You can verify on Subaru parts catalog.

They measured up the one they had from a JDM Subaru and mine from a UK Toyota. Both were different in the ways i mentioned above. Still confused why but its not the first time i've seen a manufacturer change a spec without issuing a new part number.
