3" JDL overpipe for Nameless header?

I currently have the nameless header installed and mated to the nameless 2.5" overpipe/frontpipe combo. I'm growing tired of the buzz/resonance around 3-4k RPM and hoping to cure that by replacing the overpipe/front pipe with the JDL Ultra-quiet version.

I'm assuming I want the 3" JDL overpipe flange to best fit the nameless header, correct?

The flange is 2.5" and it extends to 3" on the overpipe. Just want to clarify this for you. The reason they did this is because the true 3" overpipe does not fit well at all.

I'm referring to the front flange where the overpipe meets the header. that should be 3" if you select the 3" front flange option, no?

I'm not concerned about it tapering back to 2.5" after that, but would like the flanges to match up since the nameless flange is 3" as well.

You have it backwards. It starts at 2.5" at the flange to the header, then goes to 3" to mate with the 3" FP.

John,
Yes they are in stock. Im not familiar with the (nameless) header but if yours is 3” then yes I would select 3” front flange
maybe i'll just deal with the buzz or see if i can get nameless to retrofit my overpipe with the new resonator.

It was confusing till I went and saw it in person at their shop. The reason they did it was for good fitment.

from their website it specifically says - "2.5 or 3 Overpipe to Header flange option" and "Full 3″ design with smooth mandrel bends"

I have a nameless 3inch carted resonated OP/DP. It also has a helmholtz resonator. So 2 resonators on the pipe and I have no buzzing or drone. So that might work for you

You might be thinking of their previous design which had some fitment issues with the 3"

Could always ask them directly. Last time I visited was September 2014. They may have gotten a better fit.

Yeah, check out the link I posted. It's now a V-Band connection to avoid fitment issues on the over pipe.

Very cool. They did change it then. A true 3" option finally for people that probably doesn't have that annoying buzzing sound. I love v-band connections.

Mine is the catted/resonated one as well, still buzzing at 3-4k. However mine was one of the early designs with the cylindrical resonator vs the ball shaped one.

Same here. I have a JDL UEL though. That could be the reason? I don't know just speculating and trying to help
