What hood struts work with seibon hoods

Hey just wondering which ones would work with seibon. I got a set and they are too stiff and its like the hood is gonna break

I know that there are some cars out there with Seibon hoods and GrimmSpeed hood struts. Depending on the weight of the carbon hood (should be about the same as the factory aluminum hood, and hopefully not heavier) they will work out great. Ours use a completely different design instead of relying on excessive pressure from the gas springs (dampers).

I too know what you mean by "too stiff," as I've used other 86 hood struts. Try out ours, they feel completely different, MUCH lighter feel.

I have used lesser hood struts in the past and currently have the GrimmSpeed struts. I must say these are extremely well engineered and the fit and finish is beyond exceptional. One thing I noticed right away is that you can still actually drop the hood past a certain point and allow the hood to close itself, like you can with a stock setup sans struts. I have also experienced other brands where you actually have to force the hood shut, meaning there is constant pressure on the hood from the struts. Buy these and I am sure you will be happy.

i vouch for grimmspeed too! pretty easy install and works excellent. i really like that the lift disengages after a certain point and the weight of the hood can close itself.
