Noise help!!!
Good evening fellow members. My throwout bearing went on my BRZ. So I had it replaced with a revised one, Exedy OEM clutch and flywheel. I also had them replace the front bearing retainer cover as well. I went ahead and decided to upgrade a few items while I’m at it. Upgraded the clutch fork and pivot from Verus. Mtec trans springs and clutch line. Upgrade the shifter to Torque Solutions. Last but not least I upgraded the trans mount to Kein trans mount.
Everything shifts good and feels good. The only issue I’m having is the loudness in the cabin. My exhaust is 10x louder than before even at start up. (FYI: Invidia Q300 catback with catless front pipe with stock headers). Has anyone experienced this when switching to a solid trans mount or should I investigate it further?

did they pull the exhaust apart to get the transmission out?
my first guess is the exhaust gasket was re-used, and now it's leaking.

If the Kein trans mount is solid then it will definitely increase exhaust noise in the cabin as the front pipe bolts directly to the transmission which is now solidly mounted to your chassis.
As an aside I hope you also put solid engine mounts to match the gearbox mount since the engine and gearbox are rigidly connected to each other.

Just put the new exhaust on a few weeks ago. Will check if there is an exhaust leak in the front pipe.

STi motor and g/box mounts might be a better option for you if you really feel you car needs stiffer mounts.
