If I were you I would do what I did before going turbo. Even though I spent 3900 for everything installed and tuned I had enough money left over to do the same job 4.5x over. A used engine cost 2.5k so I saved for 2.5 years and enjoyed my stock 200hp until I was ready.

Yes going turbo on a stock motor can and will most likely be a headache. The money I've spent on mine I could've easily done a swap which I planned from the beginning but 4k for a turbo kit looked alot better than 15k+ but now I've spent over that and am now working on my swap after all that money ahah. Beware boosting on a budget with this platform is not ideal be prepared to spend alot more than what your planning on. You'd be better off using that money and building the block before going fI....

Well I bought extra mods after that. I spent another 2k for oil cooler/catch can, P3 boost guage and vented hood. Spending 15k is definitely a waste when I have seen guys do it for much less and their cars have been running for 30-60k miles. Also I don't care about more power than 300whp. I'm the kind of guy that doesn't need a whole lot to be impressed especially in a 2800 lb car.
