That's the thread where I started the issue and we eventually got the TSB created feel free to read through it.

I took another video of it tonight while it was idle searching to show the dealer. I'm hoping to take it in next week. Calling tomorrow for an appointment. I will update on that thread once I get the reprogram done and road test it.

I have the hard shifting issue in Sport mode as well.

Thanks for starting that thread. This form is a great resource and good folks like you are what make it so.

It's really down to the dealer honestly, some, like in my case, are super chill and would just flash it immediately without asking and no big deal. Others would refuse and say it's not in the VIN range so they wouldn't, best of luck to you.

A car purchased used can still be under warranty. A 2013 is very unlikely to still be under the 36 month/36K bumper to bumper warranty, although I suppose its possible if it were purchased late in the 2016 model year (the 2013 first went on sale in 05/2012). The powertrain warranty (60/60) may still be in place, and would cover a few of them.

If you aren't the original owner and have no proof of when it was originally purchased the dealership will use the VIN to determine the start of warranty, which will be the day it was originally sold.

One I would consider getting done is the fuel pump one, but I would put it off until near the end of the warranty period. Not so much because it's a real mechanical issue but because it ends up giving you a new fuel pump.
Thanks a lot for all that information. I bought it from a Toyota dealer and it's certified. I think it might still be under warranty. I'll call them and ask.

Took my FRS to the dealer yesterday. No issues with getting the flash done. I handed them the TSB, told them the issues clearly, and they did it. They mentioned afterwards that I was the first person to report and bring my FRS in for this idling/hard shifting issue.

I can already confirm that it works and stops both problems (idling and hard shifts) from occuring. After driving home yesterday from work (25 miles) my FRS did what it always does right before the idling issue starts... the tach makes a weird spike up to 1000rpm (almost like the gauge is sticking) right after I put it in park. But instead of slowly dropping to 500rpm, starting to stall, and then spiking back to 1000rpm, it stabilized at 700rpm immediately.

No sign of hard shifting in Sport mode either. In fact, it's been shifting better than it ever has.

You can't imagine how happy this makes me. These were two niggling problems that are now gone.

Looks like the Southeast Toyota "Gross Weight Sticker Gate" has been extended to include various 2015 models with a total of 2,520 of all models impacted. The original link is no longer valid.
Here is the updated link.

seeing that there are 3 different TSBs for the Chirping Noise from High Pressure Fuel Pump issue, are the older TSBs voided and only the current one is active? I ask this as my VIN is covered in the original TSB but not in the 2 revisions

also, it doesn't look like there is anything on the rod bearing #4 issue (due to oil starvation)? I just found out abt this today.
