Some photos from the Prosolo at Crows Landing in case anyone was interested. They are only from Saturday though, and my camera decided to have its focus fail so I didn't get as many good pics as I hoped:

Well since it's Monday now who's going to AAS this weekend? I'm back from Europe and missing both the Tour and the Pro so I am itching for some action at Crows.

Do you guys get insurance at each event? How much is it?
I've looked up a few special insurance providers and they only list hpde's mostly and it's around $180 a day. I'd hope autoX isn't as pricy

You shouldn't need insurance for autox. There is nothing to hit but cones.

Usually around 9 am the first run group goes for all the SCCA events I have went to. I believe AAX is the same as well if someone else could confirm.

http://www.americanautox.com/info/whats-my-class-now/ This is the run group info for the Saturday event: http://www.americanautox.com/run-gro...s-for-round-5/ Most of the people here are CS (Street 2) and STX (Street Tourng). Street 2 is the first group in the morning (be there by 7:30 to walk course and register) and STX is the last group of the day (be there around 11:30). |

http://www.baautox.com/forum/index.p...art=0&rid=3270 The big 4 are SCCA, AAS, Lotus and BMW imo, all running nearly monthly from March through October. Haven't done AAS or Lotus yet but I hear rumors that Lotus gets 10+ runs and I know BMW gets 6+, AAS and SCCA are 3-4. I like BMW's setup for a first timer, good safety talk, one on one instruction for first timers (quality can be hit and miss, but nonexistant instruction at SCCA to my knowledge) and more seat time. I hear Lotus is similar but won't know for sure for a few months. SCCA and AAS are the place to be for competition, no doubt. Cheaper entry fees and a tighter program means you're not sacrificing all day, when I do BMW it's a wake up before 6am, home after 7pm day, whereas SCCA I was home before 4 and could have made it home by 2 if I had hustled, running in the afternoon means you get to sleep in a few hours, I hear it's the same story with AAS. I feel like BMW/Lotus is good for the first few events, then transition to SCCA/AAS once you know what's going on. Higher cost of entry but less overwhelming. From what I've seen Lotus courses are tightest followed by BMW than SCCA, AAS runs big ol' courses that are faster than some road courses. Marina you'll need someone to let you in the gate, I think anyone can drive into Crow's, you should be signing a waiver at both. Instead of just watching from the sidelines try and hop in a car for a ridealong, I think most BMW/Lotus participants will be happy to oblige, get the feel that SCCA guys are there for the competition, not sure what AAS atmosphere is yet.
