What Bluetooth obd plug are you guys using to communicate with your phone, that also doesn't make the dash display get all screwed up after a couple mins use for getting your temps, etc.?
Still have more hw to do to figure out how to get the track map and data overlay on gopro footage... wish I had it figured out for last Saturday already |

Export your data as CSV and import it via RaceRender. The hard part is figuring how how to sync everything.... just gotta find a marker in the video as a reference point. -alex |

Ah so this isn't a live communication of obd scanning data to phone with Harry's, and from phone/Harry's to the gopro it sounds... here I was thinking that people would import their gopro video with that overlay data already present after using in parallel with Harry's. This makes better sense now and will give this a try tonight, thanks!

If you bought, say, AiM Smarty cam, you can do both at the same time. http://www.aim-sportline.com/eng/index_car.htm -alex |

@jvincent - I'm not seeing oil temp. Which OBD2 device are you using?
@blue cat - did you ever get oil temp working? @philooo - the only way to see oil temp on the video overlay is to get the grand prix edition and adjust the settings to show oil temp instead of coolant temp. @HarryS - what is the official status as of 2017 for getting oil temp on our cars? I did some research, but the reports seem very mixed. Does the OBD2 device matter? My OBD2 readout is attached. Veepeak Wi-Fi adapter with an iphone 6 Plus. |

@jvincent - thanks! If it's not too much trouble, can you upload a screenshot of what your sensor info looks like in the app? (Harry says that the Android/iOS versions are the same, and that the oil temp PID doesn't work). Trying to get to the bottom of this mystery.

Sure. I actually had a picture uploaded before but it looks like I deleted it from my Google photos album at some point.
I'll try and get another one for you. |

So, I am still confused...I want a basic set-up for two track days a year. I have to purchase an action cam for another purpose, so if I get an action cam with built-in GPS...can I get laptimes and video overlay on Track Attack or HLT without Race Render...or do I need that, too? (Android phone)
Does Torque Pro do this now? Thanks for the advice!
