Ah, ok, thanks. All hail the metric system
UPD: looked at FasTrack, and it's only a proposal for 2015.
UPD2: holy phuk, any combination of 16-18" inch wheels on all corners is legal. It sure gonna look funny.

Oh, I understood from reading RRAX Forum that clarifications, which this was marked as, are immediate.

I'll have to re-read it later to figure it out for sure then.

I believe it is for 2015 and beyond as proposed, although I think there should be some off-the-books penalty for anyone that protests someone using +41 this year knowing the change for next year (assuming it goes through).

For real. If you lose to someone and you truly believe it's due to their effective 2mm extra track, you should re-evaluate your SCCA membership lol

That probably won't matter for *wheel choices* in 2014. I don't think there are any light wheels with +41 offset. Maybe next year TR will start selling RPF1s in +41 and all the hardcore peeps will sell their +42 versions cheap

I think the last thing this car needs another 2mm width penalty.

I have serious doubts you'll see many 8 participant D-Street tours with all of those being great drivers.

I truly believe that a C-Street Winner being left out of the Pro-Shootout will be the exception not the rule.

I need some clarification. I've always been under the impression that in Stock/Street if a car comes with slotted rotors you can only replace it with slotted to be legal. Not cross drilled and slotted just slotted. For our cars they come with plain vented rotors so we can only replace them with plain vented rotors not slotted or cross drilled/slotted. Is this still the case? A couple folks were trying to tell me that I could upgrade to slotted.

You need to retain stock rotors from what Ive read. I moved to slotted when planning to go to STX then changed my mind and had to switch back to OEM.

"upgraded" rotors will not help with autocross so if you were doing so for it, but if you were looking at them for track days, I'd suggest changing rotors back and forth when doing a track day. Just use nice pads and fluid and call it a fun day

Thought so. I'm planning on just picking up some cryo treated centric plain rotors

Yep, stock rotors or stock replacements - if it doesn't say you can, then you can't.

Personally, I don't think you will see any benefit from going to stock-sized slotted and/or crossdrilled rotors on a track. Outgassing isn't really a problem these days and extra stress risers on the rotor surface combined with less heat-sink mass aren't positive performance factors.

As kido mentioned, if you are looking to improve braking performance upgraded pads with a good DOT 4 or 5 fluid will do far more than brake rotors, and they are Street-class legal. However, they don't have the bling factor.

Haha well I'm not worried about bling. I swapped to ATE blue last year so I'm good on brake fluid.

After two full autox seasons my rotors are squealing. I need to swap them out. If I'm not mistaken Subaru warranties 1 set of pads and rotors.

Rotors are squealing? I'm a crap mechanic but I thought pads were what generally did this?

Are you on OEM pads still? They are likely shot. Give some DS2500s a shot if you end up buying new pads yourself.

Rotors should be fine this early, unless you overheat them too often or get down to metal on pads.

Pads are squealing because the rotors are warped. * I'm on Porterfield R4S pads right now.
