Actually that MR2 I think Hotwheels made a small die cast car out of that design, but calls it something else just cant remember the name.

I think you might be stretching it to think the 7tune render is just related to the early MR2 designs. Hope you're right, but don't pat yourself on the back yet. And whether it is or isn't, if they still produce that, it wouldn't hold a candle to the ED2 design.

Toyota, if the FT ended up looking like that... I'll just say, I wouldn't be mad at you.

I rather save it for a higher end car, but who knows.

Fair enough. Actually, to be honest... I only really like the profile of it. The faces are... not fantastic. Side-view = drool-worthy. Front and rear-views = unsatisfactory.

True to be fair. I am not some kind of car king or car guru. I just tell it as I see it.

What about that name?

i've been reading rumors about a new turbo RX-7, that would be a fun car to own too. so we just have 2 wait for mazda and subaru 2 show their concepts and see if its worth to wait.

any ways i know i will buy a 2 doors sport car in the next couple of years but it has to have all the right stuff, because im not waisting my money on something that makes me halfway happy! been their done that.

latest from my connection..

one of the members from the other sites that's got connections in both the CALTY and ED2 design studios says he got a return email from ED2, he is going to post it this morning. Sounds like I was correct in my assumption:

Nemesis- I think you are right on. I actually got an email back from one of the designers from ED2 that was involved with the FT-86 I will post some info tomorrow on my theory

I'll keep you guys posted...

So you were correct on assuming someone else's theory. Don't know how that works. Anyway, we still just need to wait and see what the final outcome is.

fernan2... so we just have 2 wait for mazda and subaru 2 show their concepts and see if its worth to wait.
remember, IF the 7tune article was credible (and actually I've read other unsubstantiated articles say this also over the last 6 months)... it is saying the Subie version (IF they even make one, and IF it is sold in the country you're in) will be RWD and look EXACTLY like the Toyo version except for a badge!

That would be another big disappointment, but not entirely unexpected. It would seem strange if they both sold exactly the same vehicle in a same country... wonder who would get the most sales? and I guess you could get factory performance parts for the car from either brand?

uh....no. I was correct in my assumption that this article was started based on the MR2 hybrid pics, this has never been anyone else's "theory", I discovered this lastnight when I found the photos in my saved pictures...
