Do you know who made the parts? Not Subaru. They just bolted them together. There is a list on here and Mitsubishi made more parts on the car than Subaru did. They literally just assembled them. You do know the differences between manufacturing and assembly right?

Moto-East was working on a surge tank set within the engine bay. I haven't heard anything about it in a while though. I don't know if they're still working on it or not. Beyond that, you're looking at universal auto racing fuel cells and surge tanks.

The steering issue is because the power steering is electric and doesn't have a whole lot of cooling. For normal and slightly excessive use, it's fine. But if you're really working it hard (TWSS) it'll overheat and shut off. And boom, manual steering.

Also, fuck yeah, Wolfenstein. I don't think my computer could run slow enough to play it though.

I was thinking about this fuel starvation issue today while going to the gas station with less than one quarter tank gas. Maybe this is not as big of an issue as we perceive. I have read many times in this forum about fuel starvation but haven't seen really somebody experienced a failure because of it. Do you know any such case reported here?

There are several people that have experienced fuel starvation during heavy track use. Most are FI so they may be sucking way more than stock anyway. I do not recall a single case where they mentioned failure due to it.

True, except for the frame, suspension, hubs, brakes, body panels, safety equipment, engine block, motor accessories, and wiring. Everything else was just assembly. Either way, its much more a subaru than any other mark.

Shhhhhh!! Don't say the M word, the only positive that came from Mitsubishi were the original Eclipses, EVO, and Diamond Vision. Aside from that everything they touch turns to crap (consumer electronics, cars, and banking).

There is a list of who made what. Subaru themselves make virtually nothing. Almost no car manufacturers make parts anymore. You are confusing Subaru contracted parts with Subaru made parts.

Engine + chassis + builder = more subaru than any other maker. You are wrong to say they make virtually nothing when they build the key components that are the motor and frame.

By your logic no car that subaru makes would be a subaru, but that isnt true, they are all subarus. The fact that the brand doesnt make every part they use doesnt take away from the product as a whole, a subaru. No one blames or praises those subsidiary brands when something goes wrong or right, they recognize the builder (subaru) and the seller (subaru) as the parent/representative that they are; their parts bin is what came together to build this car. If you had to put one name on this car it is subaru, unquestionably more so than toyota. That is not a good or bad thing, it is just the reality of this car.
