GTA Meets, Cruises and Social Events Thread

They redid some of Southwood which used to be a pretty rough road.

From what I remember earlier this year when I went there was one road maybe 5kms long that was a little rough. Show me a picture of your wheels and I can tell you if you'll be alright or not. If anything come for the good roads and then dip once you see the roads that aren't that well.

Other than Southwood and that other road I mentioned, the others are paved long sweeping turns.

Oh and so far given the amount of interest in the cruise, We're going to have around 5-7 cars which is great.

18x8.5 front with 215/35/18. 18x9.5 rear with 215/40/18.

I'm in for the 7th. I'm inviting a friend so I might get another BRZ for the trip.

Alright this is good. So far I have Wasabi (and 2 potential friends one with a miata one with a brz), Holly (with one extra person) and red dingo.

People who still need to find out if they are 100 percent are ilaw, icybrz, slvrsrfr, and I've got a friend with a civic si who might be down.

I'll keep updating the list as we grt closer because that will be the list of people who receive the message from me on the specifics.

I think you *should* be okay. If anything come out and check the roads out. Most of the roads are perfectly fine there are only a couple that may cause an issue but if anything you can skip those roads and meet us once we get back on the paved roads.

Yeah!

8/6/2014 was the day I picked up my car!

Pretty damn appropriate that I can celebrate my anniversary with my 86 on 8/6 day every year.

Cyrious garage usually has one but they won't be here because of a drift event so I'm curious if theres any unofficial ones happening.

I'm gonna send an email out to those who've tentatively confirmed for the cruise this sunday, if we don't get 5 or more final confirmation messages, the cruise will be cancelled.

If the cruise happens, any chance you would want to add a meeting spot in/near Orillia? I'd much rather go straight up highway 12 than go to the 400. I'm barely tentative at this point, so don't change anything unless I firm up!

In case you guys don't have enough for your go ahead, but still want to go cruising and meet some new friends, the GTI/Golf R group that I mentioned a couple of pages ago have 8 confirmed so far for the same day. We're meeting a bit earlier than you though (7am @ Hwy 7 & 400). If you're interested, please feel free to join us.

As I mentioned before, the route is 95% similar. If you guys don't want to do the full route to Huntsville, we can split off at the top of 632 & Hwy 141 for instance. Just another option for you to consider.
