Changing the bushings is definitely a next season project. I don't want any disputable parts on the car. I have RCE SS1 / KW based strut mounts, camber adjustment only. I need tons more seat time before I go making big changes to the car, again. I did notice quite a few cars at the Finger Lakes tour with ground control strut top mounts with way lower ride heights than my car.

Man fuck these rules, I'm still pissed about the multi-link one arm judgement, makes no sense the way it's written.

Don't get me wrong, I know you know your shit and half a degree of caster is nice but not game changing. I wouldn't mess with it but I can see the rules reading it as allowable per 14.8.B which is allowed with camber plates, but it's effectively modifying the LCA length which is what the 14.8.H.2 says you can only do if you don't have plates.

I'll shut up now
You maybe right, but idk lol. Ppl were running the offset lollipop bushings in the E36 for years in ST

Koni shocks and Swift springs here

I also know the koni/RCE is a hot combo. I prefer the heavier rear rate.

whats up?

Has anyone in STX tried the Yokos out yet? I just got a set of Stones but now I'm second guessing that decision. Yokos are killing it in lincoln this weekend.

I think it's a little premature to say they are "killing it." You'll still be fine on the Bridgestone's.

I just said they were killing it at that one event. And sure, that evaluation may still be ambitious considering it's just a few cars. My point was just to ask if anyone had tried them yet to get some feedback first hand.

Let me rephrase. They are not killing any class. I waa incorrect. They merely won the pro in STR. Spurious at best, of course. Obviously nobody in STX has tried them that would like to provide feedback so my question and entire post about Yokohamas should just be disregarded.

Haven’t tried it, but Whitener was also leading day 1 at the tour with bridgestones and Karwan was 2nd on Yokohama’s. Honestly probably just feel different but results are similar?

I'm thinking the same thing. It may just end up being one of three tires that can potentially be competitive.

The people running the Yokos are already national champions so it’s difficult to say how much was tire and how much was driver.

They probably just ran them to mess with people's heads

Here's a question for those more familiar with interpreting the rules than I am. "Subframe position may not be changed." I imagine that subframe "collars" or "inserts" would theoretically change the position by spacing it down by a hair. There is material between the subframe and the body that wasn't there before. Am I correct here? Would the upper bushing inserts be prohibited? I can't imagine the lower inserts would be an issue but I am hesitant to put these in at all after checking the rules.

I'm curious because I just put the differential inserts in and I am really impressed with the result so the subframe inserts came to mind but I am not sure if they are legal.
