I went with the Tomei UEL header and OFT tune.

Car feels marginally faster, but nothing too drastic. Mild butt dyno increase and a bit more responsive.

The Dip is still there it's just not as noticable. The only way to completely get rid of it is to use FI.

Thanks for the clarification.

There are guys on here that will swear on their life that it somehow ruins the drive for them. There was even one goof that argued for days that it caused him to take 3 minutes to get up to highway speeds and almost killed him it was so slow.

My version of reality is different.

If you are looking to shave a100th of a second off your drag time it is indeed a big deal.
If you are tracking heavy it may me a minor inconvenience.
If you are rapidly rowing through the gears to merge with traffic you may barely notice it for about a 10th of a second.
If you are driving at normal speeds in the city you will never know it exists.

Think about it. It occurs for a brief period at certain revs in each gear. The 0 to 60 is 7.5 seconds. Just how long do you think you are in that one rev zone? Ya it looks nasty on a graph but that is not the reality many of us have observed.

I've made myself car sick on that road in this car... man, I miss it.

TQ dip is certainly an exaggerated problem. It is there, you do notice it in day to day driving, but if you're above 4.5 or 5k while having "fun" then it's a non issue.

Personally, I have a drop in filter (negligible difference in performance), a UEL (cheap, CNT racing one) and an OFT stg2 tune. While there is a noticeable difference over stock, it's nothing to get your knickers in a twist about.

I don't notice it during regular driving, but you just have to drive it and see for yourself. If you are contemplating the purchase, I don't think it will deter you one bit.

I have the same setup except with the E85 Tune, it's noticeably better than stock however it's not something that is ABSOLUTELY necessary to enjoy the car. It really makes the car more punchy and linear throughout the rev range
